OUR PASTOR
Dr. Joe Langley has been pastor of Park Meadows Church in Waxahachie, TX since its beginning. A west Texas native, he completed his undergraduate work at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and received his doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.
Joe and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Waxahachie in the mid 1980's and together began the work of reaching north Ellis county with the message of God's unconditional love and grace.
Since that time, Joe has taken an active role in the Waxahachie community - serving 14 years on the WISD school board as well as regular participation in other community-based organizations and projects including the Waxahachie Lion's Club and even delivering sterling performances in assorted Waxahachie Community Theater productions.
But his driving passion is helping to share the truth about the all encompassing grace and unstoppable love of Christ. To that end, Joe has recently published two books that thoughtfully and clearly explain why believers are missing out on much of the joy of their salvation owing to a lack of comprehension regarding what God truly expects from each of us - and that is merely our simple belief in the work of Jesus.
OUR CHURCH
Extremely casual and focused on revealing the truth about God's view of everyone, Park Meadows is not like most churches. We are interested in helping you understand that you are loved and accepted - just as you are and regardless of your past.
We want our members and guests to feel comfortable. We serve fresh-brewed coffee free of charge every Sunday morning to enjoy in the auditorium during the service. We have no pews and we don't ever make our guests stand up and introduce themselves to the group. And please, leave your coat and tie at home.
Our music is a broad and eclectic assembly of hymns, praise songs, and tunes you may never have imagined hearing in church accompanied by instruments including guitars, keyboards, and drums. We even feature a French horn and violin! It's fresh and always designed to support and underscore the message of grace.
Our pastor delivers joy-inspiring, grace-oriented sermons in a conversational style and easy-going manner. There is no condemnation or guilt to take home with you, so come prepared to experience Christ as God always intended: a personal savior overflowing with mercy and love.
